Brandbite #15
Small cool touches have huge brand impact.
In the world of clutter, noise, and annoyance, small details and random acts of coolness go a long away. Every day we get hit with brand messaging that screams, 'We sell this,' 'Buy this,' yada yada yada. That's why small things that make the buyer feel good go a long way in building a relationship and brand loyalty. Plus if they are interesting and distinct, they will further differentiate your brand in its category.
Here are a few that I recently experienced, continue to tell my pals about, and I don't forget the brand behind them.

Hotel Monaco understands that travelers can be lonely and insecure. Upon checking in, you are asked if you need a room friend. They promptly send you a beautiful live gold fish in a bowl. The staff feeds and maintains your pal during your stay.

Visiting the Fairmont Hotel at Boston's Copley Plaza and craving a canine to stroll around the park with? Not a problem. Meet Catie, a 3-year-old black lab and recently retired seeing eye dog from Guide Dog Foundation. This cool touch is available at several other Fairmont hotels also.
So what small touch can you add to your brand experience that creates a warm bond with your buyer?
